Your role: This is a project-driven 6 months contract position created to assist the Finance Manager in supporting the ongoing Finance changeover process. This is done by supplementing the current Finance teams based across Asia, including Greater China and ASEAN territories, in delivering current state day-to-day financial and accounting functions. The Accounting Specialist will partner, whether physically or remotely with the local Finance leaderships, with guidance by Finance Manager, in managing all financial and accounting activities including but not limited to royalty administration, audit and compliance, reporting, budget and forecast management and any ad hoc projects as assigned. As a natural progression, this role would have the opportunity to also spearhead continuous improvement and streamlining of current processes and procedures to ensure that the Company is compliant with local accounting standards, regulation and company policies while ensuring cost efficiency are effectively maximised. Here you’ll get to: · Handle day-to-day financial operation tasks such as accounts payable and accounts receivable. · Preparation of journal entries and month-end closing. · Perform Balance Sheet accounts and intercompany balances reconciliation every month. · Assist to prepare monthly financial and management reports. · Support the royalty process and royalty administrative work. · Assist to prepare annual budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts. · Liaise with auditors for annual statutory audit relating to the preparation of the financial account and tax matters. · Ensure local compliance such as direct and indirect tax filing. · Compete any ad hoc tasks assigned by local Finance leads, or Finance Manager. Key Performance Measurements: · Management of the workload in a thorough, prompt, accurate, presentable and where appropriate, confidential manner. · Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations etc. at all times. Experience and Qualifications: · Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. · At least 3-5 years of working experience in finance and accounting functions. · Experience dealing with complex data processes and procedures and ability to provide simple and easy-to-use solutions. · Experience of data analysis with the ability to analyse complex information to provide insight and propose relevant strategic action plans. Skills/Abilities Required: · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Commercial awareness and business acumen. · Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. · Strong communications skills both verbal and written across all levels of an organisation · Ability to communicate and read in Mandarin or/and Cantonese. · Possess high level integrity, initiative and results oriented.
