Job Description

As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, architecture, solution, and implementation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Observability solutions by implementing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud-based applications on AWS. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating the deployment and delivery of applications on AWS. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for provisioning and configuring resources. Continuously optimize and enhance the CI/CD process for improved efficiency and reliability. Infrastructure Automation: Collaborate with development teams to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation tools. Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices. Deployment Strategies: Implement blue-green deployments, canary releases, and other deployment strategies to minimize downtime and reduce risks during application updates. Monitoring and Observability: Set up comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions, including logging, metrics, and tracing, using AWS services and third-party tools. Create dashboards and alerts to detect and resolve issues proactively. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for AWS resources and pipelines. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and system administrators, to define requirements and troubleshoot issues. Document CI/CD and observability processes, configurations, and best practices. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance application performance and scalability. Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and high availability configurations for critical systems. S tay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and DevOps practices to recommend and implement improvements.

Requirements

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solution Architect, or similar certification preferred. Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications on AWS. Strong expertise in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CodeGuru, and DevOps Guru. Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to document processes and procedures.
