Job Description

  • Select the foreign suppliers/bid processes for selected purchase requests, supplier and contract pricing validation for all purchase requests related to imports of goods.
  • Deal with foreign suppliers on a daily basis to fulfill all order requests, resolve transaction issues and collect information invoices, tracking info, tax docs. etc.
  • Follow up the purchasing orders, Track them and making the requested purchasing operations and procedures.
  • Responsible for technical procurement of Spare Parts, Machines, Materials and services.
  • Manage projects to improve procurement processes.
  • Resolve invoice price and terms contradictions to enable order processing.
  • Continuously update the price lists of suppliers and distribution agreements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost, and quality to obtain the maximum benefits for the company.
  • Coordinate with the supplier regarding the expected shipping time and confirm the documents required for shipment to avoid any problems that impede the shipping process.
  • Issue a supply order to the supplier with the lowest price and quality acceptable to start the procurement process.
  • Send the approved supply order to the supplier in addition to send the original of the files to the financial management to proceed with the payment procedures.
  • Follow up the arrival of the goods and coordinate with the customs clearance officer to end the customs release procedures.
  • Follow up the arrival of the documents of the shipment (dues) to the bank and ensure its validity to avoid payment of any delay penalties.
  • Find new sources of supply if needed, as well as search for the original supply source (parent company) to get the best prices.
  • Preparing Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reports.
  • Constantly searching and contacting of potential suppliers to achieve highest quality and lowest prices for the targeted products.
  • Analyze of what we have in stock against minimum needs and critical stock level and link it to a procurement plan.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
