Our client operates a successful, innovative engineering business that develops and manufactures specialised equipment from their modern workshop based in Wanaka. This company has continued to grow and this newly created role will be ideal for a seasoned Project Manager from the engineering sector.

The company has a small design team and a team of expert tradespeople manufacturing and assembling high quality specialised equipment for the New Zealand and international markets.

Job Overview:

In this key Project Manager role, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects from inception to completion – assisting with pricing and tendering, preparing work programs, and liaising with key staff, third party suppliers and clients to ensure that each milestone is achieved so that the products are delivered and installed to the customer on time and to a high quality standard.

The job:

  • Assist with tendering and quoting that are accurate and on time
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, designers, production and installation teams
  • Manage logistics to ensure installation deadlines are achieved
  • Review and manage contract documentation, financials, budgets etc
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects

The Person skill set:

  • Strong Project Management experience in New Zealand engineering sector
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Well-developed knowledge of New Zealand engineering / building standards
  • Sound general engineering workshop experience (eg fabrication, machining)
