We are seeking a dedicated Kaiāwhina Training Coordinator to join our team on a 0.8FTE basis. Ideally based in Greymouth, with travel to Hokitika and Westport, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing the growth and development

of our Kaiāwhina across the Home and Community Support Services and Allied Health non registered workforce. Your responsibilities will include

coaching and mentoring, creating a supportive learning environment grounded in

adult learning principles, and fostering collaborative relationships across the

entire health system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing

    evidence against standards and providing constructive feedback
  • Cultivating

    cultural sensitivity and building partnerships with stakeholders
  • Efficiently

    managing time and workload, including travel requirements
  • Supporting

    Kaiāwhina to excel in their roles and ensuring confidentiality and

    security of assessments

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience

  • Level 4

    qualification in health & wellbeing
  • Minimum 4

    years of experience in a health and wellbeing setting
  • Knowledge

    of adult education principles
  • Eligibility

    to work in New Zealand
  • Previous

    experience in a mentoring/coaching role
  • Computer

    literacy
  • Full NZ

    driver’s license with no restrictions

Desirable:

  • Experience

    in providing/facilitating education/training
  • Registered Vocational Training Assessor (Unit standard 4098) with the ability to assess unit standards in relevant areas, please note we will support the successful applicant in obtaining this qualification
