Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch or modify existing themes based on client requirements.
- Customize WordPress plugins or develop custom plugins to extend website functionality.
- Integrate third-party APIs or services to enhance website features.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure the website's design is faithfully implemented and optimized for user experience.
- Ensure websites are responsive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
- Perform website maintenance tasks such as updates, backups, and security enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development or after website launch.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development and web development in general.
- Provide technical support to clients or end-users as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members such as designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience with SEO best practices is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
