Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
This position for an Academic Staff Member (ASM) within the Health Team involves teaching on our suite of Health programmes. As an ASM within this team you will be required to teach in the classroom and tutor students; research, review, and update resources and classroom materials; set and mark assessments and enter results; assist with the recruitment and care of students; and actively participate in the team and faculty environment. The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,000 and $80,000 dependent on skills and experience. The role will be based at our Rotorua or Tauranga campus at Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga, reporting to the Academic Leader, and will be responsible for:- Delivery across our suite of programmes which includes the Level 3 Health and Wellbeing, Level 4 Health and Wellbeing, Sterilisation Level 4 and Level 5 and Graduate Diploma in Health and Rehabilitation.
- Providing leadership in student management
- Developing, planning and implementing student assessment, courses and resource material
- Monitoring student progress and results and providing timely and accurate advice and support as required
- Planning and timetabling for the programme as well as assisting with recruitment

To be successful in this role you will have:- Minimum of a Degree in a relavant field
- At least 5+ years’ work experience in a relevant field
- Adult Teaching qualification (preferred)
