Job Description FOG is looking for a SFA who will provide accounting and financial support at the corporate level and be responsible for preparing financial reports and providing analysis on the income statement, balance sheet, and other critical financial information and metrics. A successful candidate will work closely with the corporate finance team to help make key operating decisions and will not be afraid to get into the details, will be highly analytical and be highly motivated. Strong Excel and reporting skills are a plus. The role will also be heavily involved with the quarter end close process and help to manage the group's adherence to deadlines and deliverables. Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly financial accounting, including journal entries and financial analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results
  • Prepare monthly financial reports (including intercompany reconciliation)
  • Assist with the consolidation process, including quarterly revisions to the annual financial statements and monthly updates
  • Review business unit reconciliation for accuracy and completeness
  • Track and report key business indicators on a monthly basis
  • Liaise with the various finance leaders to provide support as required
  • Assist with the preparation of interim and year-end working papers for accounting and tax audit
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by management
  • Assist with preparation of monthly employee expenses and benefit journal entries
Required Qualifications
  • Attained a Business/Finance degree (i.e. BBA, Comm. etc.) with preference given to those with relevant further study/designations (ACCA/ACMA/CPA)
  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in a Finance/Accounting role
  • Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset
