The Radiology Manager will oversee all aspects of the radiology department, ensuring efficient operations and the delivery of high-quality imaging services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, implementing protocols and procedures, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise radiology staff, including technologists, nurses, and support personnel.
  • Develop and implement staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Coordinate daily operations of the radiology department, including scheduling, patient flow, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures to maintain high-quality imaging standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and equipment supplies, and initiate orders as needed.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including those set forth by state, federal, and accrediting agencies (e.g., ACR, Joint Commission).
  • Implement quality assurance programs to monitor imaging quality, safety practices, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address issues related to patient care and safety.
  • Technology and Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of advancements in radiology technology and best practices.
  • Evaluate new equipment and software solutions, making recommendations for implementation.
  • Facilitate training and education programs to ensure staff proficiency with new technologies.
  • Budget and Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, including revenue projections and expense tracking.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies to optimize financial performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field from a well-reputed institution.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in radiology, including supervisory or management roles.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Proficiency in medical imaging technology and software applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
