Senior React Native Developer (Video Streaming)

Title: Senior React Native Developer (Video Streaming domain) Type: Permanent Region: India / Fully Remote About the Role: Ovyo are looking for 2 x Senior React Native Developers to join our existing Development Team and play an integral role in developing & maintaining mobile & TV applications using React Native. You will be a natural leader that enjoys mentoring/training junior developers, be comfortable taking the lead and making decisions, be a natural, creative thinker, and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of technical architecture, coding, and development standards
• Produce high quality, re-usable code, and ensure best practices are followed by the team
• Create new and enhance existing features and code according to requirements
• Take the lead in Sprint Planning and Retrospective sessions
• Work closely with the product management team to produce accurate estimates and clarification
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the production of design artifacts, as well as the creation of accurate documentation.
• Build reusable components and libraries for future use.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications are good .
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in react native development

Required Experience:

• Strong proficiency in React Native with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and related frameworks (React, Node.js).
• Streaming mobile app development experience with iOS/Android and the Android TV Platform is a huge benefit.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Ideally good knowledge with Kotlin Java/Kotlin or Obj-C/Swift
• Knowledge of common debug and optimization techniques in mobile programming
• Knowledge of common usability principles related to mobile programming
• Knowledge of mobile development best practices and patterns.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience working in Agile/Remote teams
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
