COMMERCIAL & PRICING LEAD – POSITION DESCRIPTION ABOUT US At Entelar Group we are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Spark taking care of all things relating to ICT service and supply chain.A one-stop shop providing continuous, end-to-end solutions to keep NZ connected. From building cell sites and burying the fibre cables that connect our network safely, to ensuring proprietary and third-party IT hardware and software solutions are tested, distributed, implemented and maintained, to making sure our handsets work and are repaired quickly and efficiently when they don’t, we cover it all. THE ROLE As the Commercial & Pricing Lead you’ll be responsible for shaping our organization's commercial strategy, pricing decisions, and procurement processes . Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll analyse market trends, develop pricing models, and optimize procurement practices. WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR · Commercial Strategy: Provide an in-depth understanding of customer value chains, business needs, and industry trends. Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities. · Strategic Pricing: Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business objectives. Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to set optimal pricing. Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners to achieve favorable pricing terms. · People Leadership Lead and mentor teams responsible for commercial activities and procurement. Foster change leadership and effective communication to drive employee engagement. Reinforce organizational values and objectives. · Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry contacts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals. · Health & Safety. WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED · Proven experience in pricing strategies, procurement, and contract negotiations. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Knowledge of procurement best practices and market dynamics. · Proven experience leading teams through the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including category management, strategic sourcing, contract management and supplier management. · Focus on driving excellence in procurement outcomes, whilst tightly managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement. · Communication. Outstanding communication skills in all formats, including the ability to make the complex and complicated, simple and understandable. · Stakeholder management. Proven partnering and stakeholder management capabilities and experience i.e., working effectively within and across teams and functions within a large organisation. · Social & relationship skills. A people person, able to build rapport and constructive working relationships with diverse groups of people. · Resilience & growth mindset. Operates with a growth mindset, being willing to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks and seek learnings from every opportunity. · Independent and proactive. “Batteries included” – a positive, energetic and productive person with a bias for action and getting things done. · Judgement & problem-solving.
