- Conceptualize and explore visionary new product design solutions, that evolve and differentiate the Vista experience for customers.
- Shape ambiguous ideas into concrete user stories and innovative product experiences, utilizing a user-centered design process; be hands-on at every stage of the design process, as well as direct more junior designers who are working alongside you.
- Deeply involved at every stage of the design and development process - from discovery through detailed design, execution, and iteration-creating high-quality user flows, wireframes, pixel-perfect designs, and prototypes or at times through collaborating with other designers.
- Part of the decision-making process to identify and prioritize strategic product design work and how initiatives are explored and performed upon.
- A partner to data, Voice of Customers, and UX research partners for foundational guidance on product direction, and new concept validation.
- A valuable partner to cross-functional teams, including brainstorming with collaborators around product problems, solutions, requirements, and priorities.
- Present concepts to immediate and cross-functional team members with confidence and an open mind to feedback and constructive criticism.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Vista design system and marketing brand guidelines, knowing when to push beyond existing standards and patterns while ensuring consistency.
- An evangelist for user-centered design methods across Vista.
- 6-8+ years of experience designing sophisticated digital products, preferably in the B2B SaaS space.
- 4+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX and design skills through multiple case studies demonstrating user-centered, creative, highly conceptual, and innovative design solutions that had measurable positive impacts on users and the business.
- Experience creating complex applications with different user goals that combine expertise and include domain best practices to deliver non-interruptible end-to-end customer journeys.
- Experience bringing to bear quantitative and qualitative data to inspire design decisions and solutions.
- Ability to move between high-level design and detailed design, and between future concepting and near-term implementation.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with cross-functional peers, including designers, product managers, and engineers.
- Ability to present design concepts and solutions clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Highly skilled with type, hierarchy, color, composition, contrast, and other graphic design fundamentals.
- Passionate about design trends, tools, processes, and methodologies, and willing to learn and share new insights with the team.
- Highly skilled with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and/or Sketch to create high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations.
- Relevant degree in the field of Design or HCI.
- B2C e-commerce experience
- Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations.
- Experience designing across responsive web and native mobile platforms, as well as within large-scale digital ecosystems.
