Marsh IT App Maintenance team is dynamic, large team delivering application maintenance support across enterprise applications/API’s/Datawarehouse solutions employed by Marsh Marsh IT App Maintenance team is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mumbai office: Senior Principal Engineer - Quality Assurance What can you expect? Verify the correctness and assure the quality of the actuarial valuation software and functionality. Independently write and execute test cases using automated testing tools – WDIO (WebDriver IO) using JavaScript or TypeScript. Coordination with stakeholders - business & IT teams (onsite & offshore) A basic understanding of Wealth Business and knowledge of actuarial valuation process a plus. Assist team in implementing robust automation framework for Regression & System testing. To provide technical & functional assistance to other team members Work with test managers to improve ROI of overall functional test. Ensuring that consistent quality and completion of testing process is achieved across various Squads. Demonstrable experience of working on successful test programs on enterprise scale applications or projects Document test results, defect logs and issue logs wherever possible. To manage and work with multiple scrum teams & assist them in identifying and executing user stories. Independently write and execute test cases manually whenever required. Report conclusions on the quality of the software under test and provide input to senior management. Maintenance and enhancement of current automation tests. Assists Test lead in creating and maintaining CI/CD based automation test scripts with basic understanding of CI/CD concepts with Jenkins/ Git Actions. Assist with QA in all stages of the life cycle from inception to production. May work closely with Tier 1 support team to facilitate the isolation and efficient resolution of user issues. Assisting Test lead in conducting internal trainings to other team members & maintaining knowledge repository. Working with Test leads by assisting & suggesting new improvement areas in current processes. Assisting Test leads in various Org. wide activities & helping him in creating reports. We will count on you to: Create & execute functional & technical test scripts and share advice to the other team members, business stakeholders to identify effective ways of testing. Perform standard checks, verify output with application experts and identify gaps in QA processes. Mentor and Coach other team members in achieving high quality deliverable. Drive Ops excellence culture and lead transformational project(s) with clear visible and measurable impact. Responsible for driving initiatives and ensuring results with a confined focus on timelines and quality. Drive employee measurement factors like KRAs, mentoring and Project SLAs Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communications skills with working knowledge of agile practices (scrum) Adaptability to learn new skills & working knowledge of PODs and SQUAD model. Self-driven, highly motivated, ready to work in high pressure situations. What you need to have: Good Coding skills in WDIO (WebDriverIO) using JavaScript/TypeScript a MUST . Good experience on framework setting up robust framework & best QA practices across various squads. Good exposure in writing effective and meaningful Gherkins.
