Job Description - Oracle Forms 12c Developer We are seeking an experienced Oracle Forms Developer with expertise in migrating applications from Oracle Forms 6i to 12c. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle Forms development and extensive experience in upgrading and modernizing legacy applications. As an Oracle Forms Developer, you will be responsible for leading the migration efforts, ensuring seamless transition and optimal performance of the applications. Location - Hybrid/Remote (Any ACL Digital Office) Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of Oracle Forms applications from version 6i to 12c, including analysis, planning, and execution of the migration process.
- Assess existing Oracle Forms 6i applications and identify areas requiring modification or enhancement to align with Oracle Forms 12c standards.
- Develop migration strategies and roadmaps, taking into consideration dependencies, risks, and impact on existing functionalities.
- Design and implement necessary changes to Oracle Forms applications to ensure compatibility with Oracle Forms 12c platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, end-users, and IT teams, to gather requirements and prioritize migration tasks.
- Perform testing and debugging of migrated applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues related to the migration process.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members involved in the migration effort.
- Document migration processes, procedures, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest Oracle Forms 12c features, technologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Forms development.
- P roven experience in migrating Oracle Forms applications from version 6i to 12c.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL programming for database development.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Forms 12c architecture and development methodologies.
- Experience with Oracle databases (versions 11g and 12c), including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
