Assistant Vice President, GCFIM - Corporate Finance MY

Responsible to assist the Head with the Group's M&A, corporate transactions and restructuring activities, as well as overseeing the Group’s portfolio of investments. GCFIM also works with other divisions within the Group on the Group’s capital raising and investment / divestment activities Job Responsibilities:

• Lead / assist in evaluating and pursuing M&A opportunities in line with the Group’s strategic objectives and aspirations
• Manages a transaction team on all deal aspects on M&A and other corporate transactions including structuring, valuation, negotiations and execution
• Manages a portfolio of investee companies, including initiatives to optimise value
• Manages delivery on timelines and milestones on transactions
• Works with and manages relationship with other internal divisions/departments and external parties including bankers, legal advisors, reporting accountants, tax advisors and regulators on transactions
• Ensures responsible communication with stakeholders on transactions
• Ensures transactions undertaken comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. BNM, Bursa Malaysia, MAS, OJK) as well as internal requirements e.g. CIMB Group’s Policies & Procedures and the Department’s Policies and Procedures
• Manages performance of the team on transactions
• Any other responsibilities / tasks as assigned by management from time to time
