Position Title: Head Financial Accounting India Location: Nesco, Mumbai Role: Heading the Financial Accounting team, responsible for monthly closings as per scheduled timelines, Statutory and Group audits, Liaison with various statutory authorities for Direct/ Indirect tax, Labour law assessments, Leading central & region team, Governance with Shared Services for P2P, O2C, R2R, T&E, FA activities, ERP implementation (Project) Key Responsibilities: · Month end reporting:

  • Analysis of financials before month end finalization
  • Analysis of sales accruals
  • Analysis and finalization of profit centers & cost centers - expense provisions, credit notes to clients, client deductions, employee expenses, salary variance analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliation analysis, reporting correct P&L and all key MS metrices
  • Compliance with IndAS and IFRS
  • Adherence to Group Accounting Manual
  • Providing the correct profit & loss
  • Ensuring all the adjustments entries are recorded on timely basis
  • Working with finance shared services to ensure timely and accurate closure of all accounting activities
  • Audit
  • Handling statutory, internal and group audits
  • Ensuring correct data is provided to auditors on timely basis
  • Preparing and finalizing Balance sheets along with all notes, intercompany details
  • Calculation of CSR expenses, MSME interest, Gratuity and leave encashment actuarial valuations, ensuring posting of all adjustment audit entries
  • Liaison with various other departments like legal, HR, IT, Tax for notes and reconciliation
  • Addressing all audit queries and working with local management to address them
  • Governance with Regional & Shared services Team
  • Responsible for Governance with regional teams, co-ordination with regional finance managers (RFMs) & Shared Services Team to ensure governance related to P2P, O2C, R2R, T&E, FA activities, collections, ensuring RFMs are imparting their responsibilities on timely basis
  • Compliances, audits and assessments
  • Handling and co-ordination in various audits/ assessments related to HR (PF, ESI, etc), state VAT/ GST, Direct taxes – ensuring correct data is being prepared and provided to all authorities in a timely manner, liaison with authorities on a case to case basis and closing the assessments
  • Other responsibilities
  • Handling team and ensuring their deliverables on a timely basis
  • Development of team skills, adopt new technologies to bring efficiencies
  • Well versed with India AS
  • Well versed with other laws related to GST, Labor laws, Direct tax, etc
  • Co-ordination with key personnel in Operations, HR, Tax, IT to ensure correctness of reporting and timely resolution of issues
  • Maintaining the Delegation of Authority (DOA) matrix and ensure that it is being complied with
Experience | Skill Requirements
  • Good management skills and able to successfully manage a large, diversified team.
  • CA preferably with bachelor’s degrees in accounting or related field with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Good working experience of ERPs like SAP, Oracle, MS AX or equivalent
  • Relevant Experience in similar roles of 2 to 3 years
  • Ability to work under pressure for tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to efficiently write emails and memos.
  • Exhibit exceptional skills in organization, accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent liaison skills
