SUMMARY The Junior Software Engineer role is responsible for using their technical skills to dazzle our clients and internal team members. The Junior Software Engineer role is designed for emerging developers eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic tech environment. They will work on a wide variety of projects while also learning and advancing quickly, playing a key role in our company's growth. As a junior developer, you will work with a senior engineer to take on both internal and client requests, creating new tools and improving QoL for both your teammates and end users. This role entails primarily back-end infrastructure, though there may be an opportunity for front-end development in the future. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in writing and maintaining scripts for our remote monitoring and management service.
• Participate in the development of small projects and features, collaborating with the team to deliver quality software solutions.
• Learn the existing codebase with an eye towards improving and documenting functionality.
• Support the team in updating and maintaining the codebase, ensuring our services run smoothly.
• Help monitor system performance, responding promptly to errors and bugs with appropriate fixes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Entry-level position; prior internship or project experience in software development is a plus.
• Familiarity with Node.js. Openness to learning additional programming languages and technologies.
• Basic knowledge of PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
• Understanding of database concepts.
• Exposure to Git and version control workflows.
• Interest in cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.) is desirable.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen interest in technology.
• Some familiarity with REST API interaction, including use and basic documentation.
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Enthusiasm for innovative solutions and the ability to communicate ideas clearly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
• Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
