ZigZag is looking for a Business Analyst (Power BI) to join our team! About our client Our client is a leading financial services startup dedicated to providing exceptional services to their clients. They specialize in residential property bridging loans (mortgages). As part of their commitment to innovation and efficiency, they leverage advanced technologies such as Power BI to streamline their reporting processes. About the job They are seeking a skilled Business Analyst proficient in Power BI to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining reports in Power BI, utilizing DAX, M, and potentially SQL for data manipulation and analysis. While their dedicated team manages the database and GSheets, this role will focus on leveraging data from these sources to generate insighƞul reports for various business needs. Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports to meet the reporting requirements of the Finance team and other departments within the organization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights through Power BI
- Utilize DAX and M to perform data transformations and calculations within Power BI
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards
- Monitor and optimize report performance, identifying and resolving any issues as they arise
- Proficiency in Power BI with a strong understanding of its features and capabilities
- Extensive experience with DAX and M for data manipulation and calculations
- Familiarity with SQL is viewed favourably
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- Previous or current experience in a similar role, with a focus on PowerBI, is required
- Experience with SQL or other database querying languages is a plus
