Accounting & Finance Specialist

Scalare Partners is a Venture Capital Firm based in Sydney, Australia, focusing on providing investment and advisory to early-stage technology companies. We are looking for client-focused Accounting & Finance specialists to join our Virtual Finance Support team to support our Singaporean and Australian clients with their Accounting, Finance and Regulatory Compliance requirements. Experience with regulatory compliance in Singapore and Australia is highly preferred (e.g. Singapore GST, IR8A lodgment, Australia BAS/IAS, PAYGW, Superannuation lodgment, FBT, etc) This is a remote-based role suitable for independent, self-motivated and self-starters individuals capable of working with minimal supervision. It is a flexible role where your contribution may range, depending on your skills and our clients’ needs, from hands-on day-to-day Accounting and Finance transactional work to Strategic Planning and Board meetings. Our compensation package will be commensurate with your level of skill and experience. Key Responsibilities ● Bank reconciliations, including credit cards ● Debtors – prepare and enter sales invoices and debtor reconciliations ● Month-end close and reporting, including journals and management reports with analysis and commentary. ● Month-end Balance Sheet Reconciliations ● Financial Metrics / Progress Analysis ● Year End accounts and working with Tax Agent ● FBT and other tax obligations (annual payroll close-off)● Supporting internal/external auditors. ● Finance policies and procedures preparation & review ● Assist with RFP/RFI preparation ● Experience with Xero and Australian Accounting Standard and/or IFRS is preferable. ● Good internet and a home office is required as this will be a Work From Home (remote) work Key Accountabilities ● Ensuring timely, complete and accurate Financial Reporting for all our Clients ● Ensuring complete regulatory compliance and suitable insurance coverage ● Improving the financial processes and policies for efficiency, accuracy and scalability for future growth and capital raising.
