POSITION PURPOSE: The Software Engineer IV is responsible for the overall technology and architecture of the company's products and services. As part of the Development team, the Software Engineer IV will be involved in the design, coding, unit testing, code review, and own the architecture of company's services and applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Owns cross-team shared technology and architecture.
- Works with head of development to choose new technologies and promote culture/process.
- Does serious research to evaluate and test options.
- Understands implications (and trade-offs) of reliability, scalability, operational costs, ease of adoption by organization, recruiting, etc.
- Evaluate system-wide platform decisions and set long-term company-wide technical strategy.
- Potentially work both as individual contributors on a feature team and as architectural reviewers working with the head of development.

- Understands implications (and trade-offs) of reliability, scalability, operational costs, ease of adoption by organization, recruiting, etc.
- Can evaluate system-wide platform decisions and set long-term company-wide technical strategy.
- Has deep technical expertise in business-critical areas.
- Experience working well with senior leadership.
- Ability to identify and positively encourage areas of growth and improvement within assigned team.
- Ability to engage team members at all levels and maintain open communication stream.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience developing commercial software preferably in a cloud environment.
- Experience with Microsoft stack (C#, SQL Server, ASP.NET).
- Experience with React, Node, AngularJS, TypeScript.
- Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Octopus, AWS CDK, preferable.
- Experience with agile development practices like Scrum and Kanban preferable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
