Senior System Administration Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administration Security Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of system administration and security within our organization. This role requires expertise in handling Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Azure, and other system administration responsibilities, while also ensuring the highest level of security for our systems and data. Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the organization's Active Directory infrastructure, including user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.
• Administer Exchange servers, ensuring smooth operation of email services, mailbox management, and security configurations.
• Oversee the Office 365 environment, including setup, configuration, and security enhancements.
• Manage Azure environment, including resource provisioning, access controls, and security configurations.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve system and security issues promptly.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators on security best practices and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in system administration and cybersecurity to continuously improve security posture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on security.
• Expertise in managing Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, and Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including access controls, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus software, SIEM solutions, and endpoint protection.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity and system administration.
