Patent Agent/Engineer Global IP Services (US and India law firm) is looking for a Patent Agent/Patent Engineer/Patent Analyst for its rapidly growing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) legal department in Bangalore operations. This position will report to the Patent Attorneys/Patent Agents/Manager located in both US and India and will be responsible for supporting the patent prosecution related activities. Salary will be commensurate with education and skills and also eligible for company’s annual bonus program. Responsibilities:

  • Preparing high quality patent applications for filing at the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), European Patent Office (EPO), India Patent Office (IPO), China Patent Office (CPO)and/or World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
  • Preparing Responses to Office Actions (US, India, PCT and EP).
  • Attending Hearings and preparing Written Submissions.  
Required Skills:
  • 4 + years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of US, India, PCT and other foreign patent prosecution laws, rules, and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and follow through with team attitude that no job is too big or too small.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with our clients and to draft quality documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Ability to handle urgent matters, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly complete the assigned tasks.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree (M-Tech/ME/ B-Tech/BE in Electronics, computers, mechanical, and IT) from reputed colleges and should have graduated with first class and distinction and should be in the top 10% of the class.
