PRODUCT MERCHANDISER-DEVELOPER: TEXTILE

To initiate, document, follow up and deliver product design development across textiles (saris and other product areas textile related)   Core responsibilities include:  1. Development files –

• Coordinate design file execution with design and buying team as needed.
• Maintain design file documentation and detailed timeline activity updates till closure of development flow.
• Liaise with fabrication to initiate and deliver product as per design specs.
• Ensure checks and balances are set up to minimize process errors and oversights.

2. Document and update maintenance – maintain meticulous, up to date and thorough documentation as mandated by the brand to ensure easy referencing where required. 3. External resource liaison – sometimes, as needed, we commission external artists and agencies to create original artworks for us. These need to be authored, coordinated, and maintained by this role in digital and hard copy archiving as the case may be by this role. 4. Merchandising common roles – Ensure learning and familiarity with common roles as ascribed to all merchandising staff (for example – product design tagging)   Experience:

• I n product development & liason with a background in Product Design / Textile preferred
• 3-5 years of product management/ merchandising experience with a relevant luxury handcrafted/textile brand.

Skills :

• Very strong organizational and planning skills
• High digital software ability including data maintenance for follow up on product developments.
• Capability for regular and ongoing activity cycle adherence
• Strong people skills and ability to team play.
• Excellent eye for form, balance and a deep understanding of the aesthetics, nuances, and technicalities of the craft.
