General Manager - Contracts & Procurement

Position : General Manager - Contracts and Procurement. Experience : 15+ yrs. Industry : Upstream Oil and Gas Experience is Mandatory(15 years of experience in supply chain in the Oil and Gas industry, and experience in supporting capital projects (onshore and offshore) Qualification : B. E / B. Tech Job Location : Chennai. Responsibilities : You will be responsible for overseeing a team of buyers with varying degrees of Oil & Gas procurement experience, with the ability to mentor less experience staff from a technical and commercial perspective.

• Lead, manage and execute all procurement activities (source to Contract, Procurement to Pay) for procurement of good and services within proper timeframe meeting operational requirements.
• Develop contracting strategy and procurement plan considering market intelligence. Develop material management plan including disposal. Develop logistics plan.
• Leading the drilling and wells procurement process and supply chain management for the project, to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of wells with the highest standards of safety, environmental protection and in full compliance with all company and international standards, local and international legislation.
• Conducting contract negotiations and preparing contractual documentation and awards in accordance with company procedures.
• Pre-evaluation of qualified suppliers and vendor evaluation.
• Accountable for development and approval of Bid-Lists and purchase orders up to certain limit of authority. Responsible for development of procurement strategies.
• Interface with buyers and suppliers to ensure complete and accurate submittals are received and evaluated in order to meet client deadlines. Ensure awards of Contracts and Purchase Orders are in compliance with customer specification.
