We are undertaking a Data Transformation and as data becomes fundamental to what weare doing, the ability to have the right data in the right place at the right time, that is accurate andconsistent is essential. The purpose of this job is to have a Senior Data Architect who can participate in day-to-day activities like solution & data model design, deep dive into business-critical BI reporting and source systems, mentor and give technical leadership and act as a trusted advisor to our range of customers. You need to be passionate enough to think & perform out of thebox, to add innovation to improve your daily tasks, and work FAST (Frequently discussed, Ambitious,Specific & Transparent). Strong communication skills is a must! You should be able to drive architecture discussions and voice opinions on best practices where necessary. Responsibilities:
- Developing and enforcing technical governance by mentoring developers and acting as a Subject Matter Expert on engineering best practices on cloud processing platforms like Microsoft Azure Databricks and visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Acting as a Trusted Advisor for Business stakeholders on client engagements.
- Participating in the end-to-end life-cycle of developing a data solution from estimating efforts, design & development to Quality Assurance and production readiness.
- Designing and implementing data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from varioussources.
- Building and maintaining data storage and processing systems, such as databases, datawarehouses, and data lakes.
- Ensuring data is properly secured and protected.
- Developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholdersto understand their data needs and ensure they have access to the data they need.
- Sharing knowledge with the wider business, working with other BA’s and technology teamsto make sure processes and ways of working is documented.
- Collaborate with Big Data Solution Architects to design, prototype, implement, and optimizedata ingestion pipelines so that data is shared effectively across various business systems.
- Ensure the design, code and procedural aspects of solution are production ready, in termsof operational, security and compliance standards.
- Participate in day-to-day project and agile meetings and provide technical support for fasterresolution of issues.
- Clearly and concisely communicating to the business, on the status of items and blockers.
- Have an end-to-end knowledge of the data landscape.
- Implementing Data Quality tools and best practices to ensure data sanity and validation.
- 15 years of professional, hands-on experience building complex solution that collect, process, store and analyze large volumes of business-critical data
- 2+ years working in an Architect role including: designing and building complex data solutions
- 2+ years experience with Azure cloud products and services
- 3+ years of experience developing both multidimensional and tabular models with large and complex datasets;
- Working knowledge of Git/Azure DevOps is required.
- Experience in data visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Experience in taking and implementing initiatives related to data quality.
- Proficient in Python, PySpark, and SQL and code optimization techniques.
- Proficient in querying and manipulating data from various DB (relational and big data).
- Experience in writing effective and maintainable unit and integration tests for ingestionpipelines.
- Experience in using static analysis and code quality tools and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, and be able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working on high-traffic and large-scale Software Products.
- Standout candidates will have experience in SAP e.g: ERP software like SAP Fusion or SAP S/4 HANA.
