Firewall Engineer
Job details
Job brief We are looking for a Project Engineer to work remotely & onsite for preparing scope of work, effort estimation, support presales team and deploy and manage our client’s IT infrastructure including Network devices – routers, switches, Firewall etc. Candidate must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions. They should be able to work diligently and accurately and should have great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure client’s business functionalities. Requirements Must-haves:
- Proven experience as a network administrator, Datacentre Administrator, Administrator or similar role.
- Good understanding of basic networking – LAN – Wired & Wireless, WAN, DMZ, Internet, VPN & Firewalls.
- Understanding of cloud platforms like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
- Experience in other virtualization platforms like Citrix, Proxmox and Linux KVM based solutions.
- Experience in managing firewall / UTM solutions from Sophos, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Cisco FirePower.
- Experience in network switching – VLANs, Trunks, Link Aggregation.
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP)) is a plus.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Proven experience as Network admin or similar role
- Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
- Very good communication abilities

- Reporting
- Graduate or above
- 4-6 years of experience in servers, storage and virtualization.
- CompTIA A+
- MCSE, VCP Certification (Optional)
