We've brought open-source tech to the forefront in Southeast Asia and India. We are seeking a passionate, highly skilled and experienced PostgreSQL Consultant to join our technical team in Mumbai. As a PostgreSQL Consultant at Ashnik Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance, strategic consulting, and hands-on support in PostgreSQL database management. Essential Skills:

• Excellent Communication
• 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience of working on PostgreSQL Database
• Should be able to communicate to Sr. Management external / internal.
• Should have worked extensively on Community PostgreSQL, EDB Postgres and related tool.
• Experience in building architecture of HA and DR using community and EDB tools
• Expertise with Windows/Linux Operating Systems and cloud hosting providers (Azure/AWS/GCP etc.)
• Hands-on experience on consulting and architecting Database instances as per requirement, schema creation and performance tuning.
• Experience with database design, optimization, and administration.
• Hands on experience in migration from Oracle/MySQL to PostgreSQL using community tools
• Strong Knowledge of database migration and upgrade processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in deploying on Cloud and on containers is highly recommended.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PostgreSQL Certified Engineer) are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proficient in designing and deploying PostgreSQL databases in various environments.
• Capable of handling L3 level escalations effectively and providing expert resolutions.
• Lead pivotal project deployments and effectively interact with clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Establish and oversee processes for Remote DBA activities, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead by example in carrying key DBA activities such as: vacuum and analyse on the high-volume tables, writing scripts for schedule vacuuming, Administering the database security.
• Assume accountability for meeting availability and performance Service Level Agreements (SLAs) of PostgreSQL databases.
• Skillfully integrate PostgreSQL databases with complementary solutions like observability tools and real-time data pipelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience of working in a production support environment
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience working of 6-8 years with PostgreSQL in a professional capacity.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL
