Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with expertise in analyzing project requirements, developing cost estimates, and ensuring accuracy throughout the bidding process. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in helping our company secure profitable projects and deliver exceptional construction services to our clients.   Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Conduct thorough material takeoffs and quantity surveys to determine the materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project phase.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate cost data and pricing information.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor bids, permits, and overhead costs.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to develop comprehensive cost breakdowns, pricing schedules, and bid proposals.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project teams to clarify project requirements, resolve discrepancies, and refine cost estimates as needed.
  • Present and defend cost estimates during internal review meetings and client presentations.
  • Assist in negotiating and finalizing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and changes to ensure cost control and profitability.
  • Track industry trends, market prices, and cost factors to inform future estimating practices and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimating data, project documentation, and bid correspondence.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and qualify new suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, site visits, and project planning sessions as required.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating processes, workflows, and accuracy.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Understanding of bid preparation, contract administration, and project cost control.
  • Certification in estimating or related fields is a plus .
  • Able to support a Work from Home setup
