Test Engineer - Automation

The QA resource is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the implementation of various testing methodologies and quality control processes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to create detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements. 2. Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and functional issues in software applications. 3. Defect Tracking: Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. 4. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality. 5. Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve test coverage. 6. Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. 7. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement. 8. Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing as needed to assess system scalability and performance under various conditions. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. - Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG or similar tool etc - Working knowledge of JMeter or similar tool setup and usage for performance testing, load testing and stress testing. - API Testing using any of the API Test tools like Postman or similar. - Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail etc. - Ability to work in Agile / Scrum Environment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Knowledge of programming language Python, NodeJS, C# is a plus.
