About the job: Title – Apache Cloudstack Consultant Start date: Immediate Position Type: Contract Location: Remote across Canada • Apache CloudStack Expertise: ◦ Architecture Design: Design robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure using Apache CloudStack that meets the specific needs of our enterprise applications. ◦ Deployment and Configuration: Lead the installation of CloudStack on Dell hardware, ensuring optimal configuration for performance and reliability. Customize CloudStack components including Management Servers, Agents, and Storage Solutions in multi-zone environments. ◦ Network Management: Configure and manage virtual networks within CloudStack, including network offerings, VPCs, and ACLs to ensure secure and efficient network operations. ◦ Resource Allocation and Management: Optimize and manage computing and storage resources within the CloudStack environment to meet dynamic business needs. ◦ Upgrades and Maintenance: Schedule and perform regular updates and upgrades without disrupting the service continuity. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CloudStack infrastructure. • Integration and Automation: ◦ Develop and implement integration solutions to seamlessly connect CloudStack with other cloud platforms and internal systems, improving data flow and automation across platforms. ◦ Create scripts for automating routine CloudStack operational tasks to increase system efficiency and reduce human error. • Container Orchestration Support: ◦ Support the deployment of containerized applications using Kubernetes, particularly integrating with Amazon EKS, to enhance our capabilities in managing scalable applications. ◦ Ensure that Kubernetes clusters within CloudStack are configured for high availability and auto-scaling. • Security and Compliance: ◦ Enforce security best practices for CloudStack deployment, including the management of firewalls, VPNs, and security groups. ◦ Ensure that all CloudStack deployments comply with relevant data protection regulations and internal security policies.
