As a part of the global IT infra team, you will be based in Gurgaon (India) as a support focused engineer and will have a background in IT Systems and cloud native administration. You’ll also be entrepreneurial and have the ability to work with a talented global team of engineers while demonstrating an appetite to gain good technical competency and ensuring that the highest levels of system availability, performance and security are met. As an IT Engineer you’ll be administering and maintaining IT Infrastructure related technologies within Gogoro, while also providing 1st/2nd line support functions for the service desk and support teams. Advanced Desktop Support: Provide expert-level technical assistance and support for desktop systems, applications, and advanced user issues. Hardware Management: Lead in troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing hardware issues in desktop computers and peripherals, including high-level challenges. Software Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and updating of software applications on desktops, ensuring efficiency and user satisfaction. User Training & Support: Develop and provide training sessions and materials to end-users for maximizing system efficiency and productivity. Remote Support Expertise: Deliver superior remote technical support for off-site users, utilizing advanced tools and methodologies. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of support requests, resolutions, and hardware/software inventory. Generate insightful reports for IT management. Policy & Compliance Oversight: Ensure that desktop systems strictly adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Technical Mentoring: Guide and mentor junior desktop engineers and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Procurement & Asset Management: IT Hardware/Software Procurement & Asset Management. Updating the records once the material/asset has been received & publishing periodical reports of asset inventory. Security Specialist: Expert understanding of advanced antivirus solutions, firewall configurations, and overall desktop security best practices. Network Management: This role typically assists in managing the local network infrastructure within the organization. This includes configuring and troubleshooting network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Ensuring connectivity is maintained, and network security measures are in place, protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access. Documentation Excellence: Exceptional documentation skills for creating detailed support records, guidelines, and reports.   • Native language and excellent written and speaking English language skills.
  • 4-7+ years of Enterprise desktop support and/or related work experiences.
  • Advance experience in systems support and operations, including LAN administration, endpoint support, deployment, and user support.
  • Specific advanced experience is required in the following areas: PC Hardware (Intel based equipment) and peripheries; Microsoft operating systems and M365 software; General PC application support; iOS/Android operating systems support and maintenance.
Education
  • College/University degree in a relevant technical area (Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering) or equivalent experience.
