Structural Engineer Position

The Structural Engineer will be supporting Planate Management Group’s Global Technical Support Center (GTSC) in providing design plans for activities that consist of all aspects of structural engineering work. This is a full-time position, based in our Subic, Zambales office. The salary range, based on the market data, is Php40,000-45,000/month (the range varies depending on experience and qualifications).

1. Perform design work for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects for real property facilities
2. Interpret and adapt traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards
3. Responsible for selected construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers
4. Develop cost estimates and time schedules, review and analyze preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy
5. Prepare necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports and prepare final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractors
6. Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications
7. Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards
8. Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies load analysis) to perform engineering tasks as assigned
9. Support the different divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definition
10. Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects, and serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers in the division
11. Can adapt to current and latest technical innovations in structural engineering
12. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualifications

To be successful in the role:

• Graduate and Licensed Civil/Structural Engineer
• Minimum 8 years of design and field experience
• Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different conditions of construction procedures
• Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills
• Preference will be given to those who can start immediately
• Must be willing to travel to different project sites
