Role/Designation: Data Manager The Data Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's data systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. This role involves data governance, data manipulation, database architecture, and data quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with data management tools, and a deep understanding of database design, API development, and data governance practices. • Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Handle data migrations, data integrations, and data transformation projects, including data insertion, updation, extraction, cleaning, and restructuring
• Design, implement, and maintain robust database architectures to support data needs across the organization.
• Manipulate and transform data for analysis, reporting, and other business needs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Establish data governance frameworks and ensure adherence to best practices for data management.
• Develop and maintain APIs for integrating data from various sources.
• Parse SFTP shared files, using automated/manual scripts to process incoming data.
• Implement scheduler coding for automating routine data tasks and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
• Monitor and audit data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Develop and manage data access controls to ensure data security and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Optimize database performance by implementing best practices in database architecture, indexing, and query design.
• Provide training and support to staff on data-related issues, including database architecture and data management best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management, database architecture, and related technologies

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in data management, database administration, or a related role.
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
• Strong understanding of database architecture, data governance principles, and data security best practices.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based services, particularly AWS (e.g., S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda).
• Experience in developing and managing APIs for data integration.
• Familiarity with working on the data layer, including understanding data storage structures and data flow.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data and database concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)
