The DevOps Engineering Practices group at AIG is responsible for the integrated and efficient design and operation of the company's IT software delivery workflow from Ideation to Release. We work with developers to deploy and manage code changes, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are operating as designed. The DevOps Engineering team focused on the unification and automation of processes, and DevOps engineers are instrumental in combining code, application maintenance, and application management . All of these tasks rely on understanding not only development life cycles, but DevOps culture, and its philosophy, practices, and tools on a global scale.
About the role
What you need to know:
As an IT Tech Analyst you will be
- Assessing current application systems and processes, and developing ways to improve CI/CD based deliverables and patterns
- building and setting up new DevOps development tools and infrastructure
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Working with app team developers and other IT partners to design and develop SDLC pipelines up through code releases
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Identifying CI/CD specific technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
- planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.
What we’re looking for:
- Linux, Windows Fundamentals including command-line capabilities
- Familiarity with Infrastructure and Container management
- DevOps Toolchains: Specifically, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Release Management
- Some experience with Database Management systems including SQL, DML and DDL scripting
- Some experience with one of the following: Testing, Security, or Middleware
- Familiarity with Agile and the SAFe Agile framework
- Strong problem-solving skills within the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery space with some experience in identifying and troubleshooting problematic or unstable pipeline technology stacks
- Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles and the ability to apply them.

- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Identifying CI/CD specific technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
- planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.
What we’re looking for:
- Coding and Scripting in Java, JavaScript, Python, Native OS scripting
- Linux, Windows Fundamentals including command-line capabilities
- Familiarity with Infrastructure and Container management
- DevOps Toolchains: Specifically, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Release Management
- Cloud Computing including AWS Services, Kubernetes
- Some experience with Database Management systems including SQL, DML and DDL scripting
- Some experience with one of the following: Testing, Security, or Middleware
- Familiarity with Agile and the SAFe Agile framework
- Strong problem-solving skills within the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery space with some experience in identifying and troubleshooting problematic or unstable pipeline technology stacks
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills , including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles and the ability to apply them.
