A talent acquisition caregiver will provide more details into the sign on bonus during the interview process. Performs a wide range of daily and discharge cleaning functions. Cleans and sanitizes such areas as patient rooms, nurse’s station, offices, storage rooms, utility rooms, kitchen, exam rooms, solarium, patient, public and staff bathrooms. Cleans and sanitizes equipment. Stocks and orders supplies. Transports patients as appropriate. Performs minor maintenance tasks following standard procedures. Transports a variety of material and equipment such as blood and blood products, specimens, equipment, etc., to appropriate area. Major Responsibilities:
  • Provides personal attention to patient by ensuring that their individual comfort and service needs are met. This may include retrieving additional blankets.
  • Sets up supply cart for the utilization of appropriate equipment, chemicals, and supplies following standard procedure. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas such as patient bed space including discharge, manager’s office, nurses’ station, storage rooms, utility rooms, kitchen, conference rooms, solarium, patient. Dusts surfaces and fixtures, and sanitizes a variety of equipment, surfaces, and fixtures with a variety of chemical solutions following standard procedures.
  • Cleans any soiled equipment on unit or in utility room such as bed scales and other equipment. Removes excess equipment from patient rooms, corridors, and exam rooms. Puts away any supplies and equipment as required. Cleans and stocks carts.
  • Occasionally removes trash and other debris from pods and ancillary areas. Disposes of trash and debris in appropriate receptacles and to appropriate areas.
  • Replaces and disposes needle containers as necessary. Replenishes soap dispensers, toilet tissue and paper towels in assigned areas as necessary.
Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required:
  • Equivalent to High School degree.
Experience/Skills: Required:
  • The ability to read and write and carry out standard verbal and written instructions and procedures.
  • Good communication and organizational skills and customer service ethic.
  • The ability to foster teamwork and interface effectively with others.
