Jupiter provides investment services to individual and institutional investors through mutual funds (UK unit trusts, Luxembourg SICAVs and Dublin OEICs), separately managed accounts and sub-advised funds. Jupiter has experienced a period of international growth with offices open in EMEA and APAC. Background We are looking to hire a Singapore Compliance officer to support the Singapore office growth. Reporting to the APAC Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for the Singapore office regulatory compliance matters and work closely with business stakeholders in the region, as well as international Jupiter colleagues. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup of compliance standards and controls as a new CMS license holder in accordance to the local regulatory and group requirements.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a robust compliance framework through the provision of policies, procedures, training and advice to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on MAS regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the investment team on compliance matters, including investment restrictions, disclosure requirements, and conflicts of interest.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Compliance Team based in the UK, oversee investment restriction adherence through alert investigation and escalation within the order management system, Aladdin.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and reviews to identify potential gaps and implement appropriate controls.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, risk management, and operations teams, to address compliance issues and implement best practices.
  • Advise the Singapore business on all relevant regulatory matters, including but not limited to new business, new products, marketing material review.
  • Monitor and review investment guidelines and client mandates to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices, proactively providing updates and recommendations to the business.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures, ensuring their alignment with regulatory changes and industry standards.
  • Support and work with the APAC Head of Compliance in regional compliance matters as required.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs on compliance-related topics to promote a strong compliance culture within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in asset management compliance, with a deep understanding of Asian regulations e.g. MAS, SFC and other local compliance requirements in Singapore.
  • Strong knowledge of investment compliance and advisory compliance, including a solid understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and asset management industry best practices.
  • Experience of investment restriction oversight using order management systems. Experience of rule coding and Aladdin use also advantageous.
  • Familia rity with regulatory frameworks specific to the asset management industry in Singapore.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to practical scenarios.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively
  • Ability to engage with business stakeholder and local regulators effectively.
  • Spoken and written literacy in English, Mandarin and preferably, Cantonese desirable
