Responsibilities would include:
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to formulate, implement and monitor the company’s Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (“ESG”) related strategies, with the aim of helping the company create a competitive advantage through its ESG initiatives.
  • Spearhead identification and execution of innovative sustainability initiatives – To optimize resource utilization, decrease waste, and champion responsible sourcing practices throughout the organization.
  • Formulate disclosure strategy and prepare sustainability reports in alignment to Global Reporting Index GRI Standards
  • Define KPIs for Sustainability Initiatives, prepare ESG related board materials and consistently communicate progress to senior management
  • Lead development and implementation of environmentally conscious policies and practices geared towards minimizing the firm’s ecological footprint.
  • Work closely with company’s management / key business units / internal & external stakeholders to identify key innovation thrusts to improve ESG performance, measuring their impact
  • Research on ESG-related matters and current trends
  • Create and execute training programs to educate employees on best practices in sustainability, cultivate a culture of heightened sustainability awareness and responsibility
Profile of Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience within corporate sustainability / ESG
  • Strong passion for sustainability, ESG, responsible investing and innovation
  • Knowledge of key sustainability standards and frameworks (e.g. GRI, UN SDG, TCFD). Familiarity with ESG benchmarks/indices (e.g. GRESB, CDP, MSCI)
  • Lean team, family culture – highly visible to senior management
  • Able to take charge, high initiative and drive change
  • Strong work ethics and excellent learning / work attitude, independent and can perform without much supervision (hands-on)
  • Good stakeholder management to advise internal / external clients on sustainability strategy and process implementation
