- Salary: Negotiable (based on experience) Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven SEO Specialist to join our team at Moris Media and optimize the search engine visibility of our moCal brand. This role requires a strong understanding of SEO principles, a deep interest in digital marketing trends, and the ability to implement effective strategies to boost organic search rankings. If you're a data-driven individual with a passion for delivering measurable results in SEO, we'd love to hear from you. Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical SEO: Perform website audits, identify optimization opportunities, and address technical issues that impede search engine crawling and indexing.
- Keyword Research: Conduct in-depth keyword research using various tools to uncover relevant and high-value search terms for the moCal brand.
- Content Optimization: Make on-page optimization recommendations, write SEO-friendly content, and collaborate with content teams to ensure alignment with target keywords while providing value to the user.
- Link Building: Implement ethical link-building strategies through outreach, content promotion, and partnerships that build authority and improve search rankings.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor search performance using platforms like Google Analytics and Search Console, analyze data, generate reports and insights to inform SEO initiatives and track progress.
- Staying Updated: Keep abreast of the dynamic search engine algorithms and SEO best practices, adapt approaches and strategies as needed.
- 1-4 years of demonstrable experience in SEO roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Customer service experience may be preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Thorough understanding of SEO fundamentals, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, and link building.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Search Console).
- Familiarity with HTML and web development concepts is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and use it to drive strategy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
