Job details

Responsible for managing the permitting and licensing processes for the power plant ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards in coordination with other departments.

  1. Assist in overseeing the entire permitting and licensing process for the power plant including applications reviews approvals and renewals.
  2. Assist in coordinating with regulatory agencies local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of permits and licenses.
  3. Assist in conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with environmental safety and operational regulations.
  4. Keep abreast of evolving laws regulations and industry standards related to power plant operations and implement necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain comprehensive records of all permits and licenses and provide accurate reports as required.
  6. Assist the Corporate Sustainability & External Affairs Lead in coordinating implementing and monitoring ER 194 related functions as required by law for power plant compliance.
  7. Assist in maintaining public acceptance of the power plant through establishing healthy and effective relationships with key stakeholders and relevant regional provincial municipal and barangay government units and government agencies that will help ensure continuous plant operations.
  8. Assist in the implementation of internal and external programs of the department in the achievement of the power plant goals.
Key Responsibility: Health Safety Security & Environmental
  1. Ensures participation to plant risk identification assessment and management program.
  2. Ensures participation to plant HSSE induction upon on boarding and on succeeding HSSE refresher training.
  3. Reports safety health environment and security issues to immediate superior in a timely manner.
  4. Follows safe work procedures and conducts tasks which utilize optimum energy and resources thus keeping wastes into minimum and prevents pollution.
  5. Maintains good housekeeping and good hygiene to establish a safe and conducive workplace.
  6. Maintains and keeps selfhealthy. Does not report to work having communicable and contagious illness. Keeps the occupational health unit informed of any communicable and contagious illness.
  7. Ensures availability to subject self to annual medical and physical checks sponsored by FDCMPC.
  8. Conducts safety inspections according to plants safety walkthrough program.
  9. Stops any work and activity within the facility if eminent danger is observed. Facilitates reporting the action to immediate superior for proper information dissemination and corrective actions.
Job Specification:
  • Must have a degree in Developmental Studies Developmental Management Environmental Science Urban and Community Studies Developmental Communication Public Administration or other related courses.
  • Has also taken short courses/training on community organizing mediation and negotiation.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the energy sector with a focus on permits licenses or regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations safety standards and industry practices specific to power plant operations.
  • Experience in interacting with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders regarding permit and license applications.
  • At least 2 yrs. experience in community organizing multistakeholder management and processes dialogue and negotiation corporate processes.
