Finance Manager: Our client is seeking a Finance Manager in Cork for a 16 month contact to join a US multinational company that is an employer of choice in Cork. This role will operate on a hybrid model, Monday – Friday. You will be part of the GSIUC Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) Finance team located in Carrigtwohill, reporting to the Controller this position will work primarily in the Controllership area. Responsibilities: •Assist with the annual statutory audit and preparation of the Financial Statements under IFRS. •Monthly US GAAP corporate reporting including P&L and balance sheet flux analysis, gross to net reporting and other SEC External reporting requirements. •responsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of month-end close and accounting transactions; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation, and resolution. •Participate in the accounting close and financial reporting process (Closing of ledgers and related tasks at month end). •Producing other statutory reports or reports for regulatory authorities as required (Including reports to the Central Statistics Office (CSO). •maintains ledger integrity and ensures financial compliance with the worldwide Controller’s manual and to all applicable laws and regulations. •interacts successfully with internal and external auditors and supports quarter-end, interim and year-end audits by providing timely and accurate data and communication. •evaluates processes and recommends and implements process improvements •helps develop, maintain and assess internal controls related to Gilead’s accounting and financial reporting systems. •interacts successfully with non-financial personnel and business partners. •responsible for the accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. and local GAAP. •Ensure the adherence and implementation of SOX controls and processes. •Assist with ad hoc FP&A reporting and analytics, including partnering with the business. •Participate in special (ad hoc) projects, as needed, including supporting the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA Release 2. Requirements: •Professional qualification: ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA. •Experience in multi-national manufacturing clients a plus. •Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry a plus. •Experience with Oracle or SAP S4 Hana a plus. •In-depth knowledge of general accounting policies and procedures and US GAAP as well as in depth knowledge of local statutory (IFRS) and tax reporting requirements. •Proficiency with other Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word & Teams) required.
