Job Description & Requirements As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing all project-related documentation for the construction of our new data center. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all documentation is accurately recorded, maintained, and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Maintain a comprehensive database of all project documents including drawings, specifications, contracts, correspondence, and other relevant records.
- Version Control: Ensure that all documents are properly versioned and that the latest revisions are readily available to the project team.
- Distribution: Coordinate the distribution of documents to internal and external stakeholders as required, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Organization: Implement and maintain an effective document control system to ensure that documents are organized, categorized, and stored appropriately for easy retrieval.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of project documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other team members to facilitate document exchange and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Training: Provide training and support to project team members on document control processes and procedures as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience working as a Document Controller in a construction or engineering environment, preferably within the data center industry.
- Proficiency in document management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, Aconex, Procore).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with construction documentation standards and best practices is highly desirable.
