Financial Controller (ASEAN)

The Company My client is a Global Engineering Services firm, keen to hire a driven and hands-on Financial Controller to oversee a Statutory Reporting and Controllership portfolio for ASEAN legal entities going forward. Prior Big 4 background and Finance Shared Service projects/ RtR experience will be highly advantageous. Requirements

• Degree/ ACCA qualified with more than 8 years of solid regional Controllership experience in the commercial sector
• Highly preferred: Prior Big 4/ Audit background, and strong exposure to Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and/or handled projects relating to Accounting shared services centre
• Strong finance leadership experience, ability to manage a team based across Singapore and the region
• Required: Hands-on, highly driven, resilient, resourceful, able to introduce framework and drive streamlining, agile, keen to drive changes and positive improvements

Budget Circa S$12,000 - 15,000 per month + Bonus Job Scope As the Financial Controller (ASEAN), you will be responsible in ensuring timely and accurate completion of closing, statutory reporting and review of activities across ASEAN region. You will work with the Tax team to ensure compliance to tax regulations, local legislations, and transfer pricing framework. You will ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting transactions to be compliant with group and statutory policies, and liaise with various stakeholders including tax agents, auditors, company secretary, bankers, lawyers etc, to ensure delivery on commitments. You will partner the commercial team and GM closely, providing actionable insights into business unit performance and proactively offer financial guidance where required. Note: In the initial 1-2 years, this position is expected to lead a team of finance members responsible for RtR activities in the region. With a long term goal of having RtR standardized within the Finance Shared Service, this position will be a key lead in driving the successful migration of RtR activities, at the same time identifying areas of improvement in closing processes and ensuring compliance with company's policies. Following the successful migration of RtR activities to the shared service, this position will be ready in assuming the full portfolio of ASEAN Controllership responsibilities.
