Job Description: We seek a highly skilled and experienced Production Planning Controller to oversee our dynamic team at Norex at our Flavors & Fragrances Unit. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective coordination across various departments, including production, R&D, customer support, HR, quality control, quality assurance, purchasing, and sales. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing our operational procedures, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement business strategies to improve overall efficiency and productivity. Ensure alignment of departmental goals with the company's vision and objectives. 2. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor department heads and teams, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and collaborative teamwork. 3. Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring optimal performance, resource allocation, and workflow coordination across all departments. 4. Sales Team Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the remote sales team, facilitating effective communication and alignment with company objectives. 5. Quality and Compliance Oversight: Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Work closely with quality control and assurance teams to maintain standards. 6. Budget Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost management strategies to ensure fiscal health and sustainability. 7. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Via respective departments (Marketing, sales, Customer Support, etc.). 8. Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation in product development and operational processes. Stay abreast of industry trends to keep the company at the forefront of the market. 9. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience. Required Skills and Qualifications:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience of more than 10 years in a senior operations management role, ideally in the flavors and fragrances industry or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Solid understanding of quality control, regulatory compliance, and customer service standards.
- Ability to analyze data, understand market trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in managing remote teams is a plus.
