About the role:

We are looking for an energetic Business Development Representative Nordic region to join our team and be a pivotal part in the success of the Horseware Ireland. The role is expected to grow our business and to enhance our relationship with our retail partners. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a progressive, innovative, and unique environment where you will be given the opportunity to have an input into Horseware Irelands market growth. Travel in the Nordic region is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the regional key account manager and the inside sales team to identify and pursue high-potential accounts
  • Responsible for identifying new leads/business opportunities within the region
  • Responsible for delivering strong year on year growth and in turn hitting their individual account and overall region targets. This will be achieved through building relationships and influencing all key stakeholders within the customer base.
  • Responsible for identifying any and all incremental sales opportunities and where necessary, and where further action and or investment is required report back to the key account manager with a good business rationale.
  • Collaborate seamlessly and effectively with teams across various functions to achieve common goals and drive the success of the organisation.
  • Adopt a long-term strategy when engaging with accounts
  • Work collaboratively with regional key account manager in designing region journey plan, call frequency schedule and the customer base that falls within the region journey plan and update weekly.
  • Conduct industry analysis and research
  • Use strong qualification and discovery skills to uncover business needs
  • Maintain active engagement with prospects using creative follow-up communication
  • Analyse sales data and collaborate closely with the marketing and sales teams on developing new outreach strategies
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute all lead generation activities including content marketing, referrals, and partner campaigns.
  • Work towards targets and maintain strong records and produce accurate reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure that each customer has the core Horseware must stock range (AYR and Seasonal) available at all times, where applicable.
  • Implement agreed Horseware planogram (all year round and seasonal), monitor compliance and take corrective action to ensure continual compliance.

About you:

  • Experience in business development, sales, retail or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and across many different parts of the organisation to get things done
  • Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of new and existing accounts
  • Understands who the customers/consumers are and actively anticipates their needs. Exceeds expectations with both internal and external customers.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales metrics
  • Equine knowledge an advantage
  • Another language preferred
  • Full EU drivers licence required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
