General oversight of HR Operations at our South African, Lesotho, Zambian and Botswana sites (approx. 650 employees and 4 HR Officers).

IR and ER Management for the Group (including Conduct Management, Grievance Oversight and Labour Dispute Resolution).

Bargaining/Negotiation Process Management.

CCMA and Labour Department/Court Representation Coordination.

Implementation of HR Compliance framework across the Group with robust auditing cycles in place.

Analysis and Management Reporting.

Project management of various HR projects from time to time, for example current time and attendance roll out.

Ability to manage a team across a number of countries.

Key Responsibilities:

Labour and employment law with the capacity to upskill self on international labour law in the countries in which IFS operates (Mozambique, Lesotho, Zambia, DRC, Botswana)

Working knowledge of Sage 300

Reading and interpreting legal documents and policy (legal document) formulation

Strong verbal and written communication

Computer literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint intermediate level)

Report writing

Data analysis

Negotiation

Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

Relevant undergraduate degree (preferably a Law degree).

8 years relevant experience within a HR function with a focus on the IR requirements, at least 3 of which should include engagement at a Senior Management level.

Direct and hands on experience with union negotiation and labour mediation and arbitration

Working knowledge of African Labour Law and experience with any African country is advantageous.

Prepared to travel to sites on a regular basis.
