Area Sales Manager (Commercial Vehicles)

Alexander James Recruiting is currently looking for an experienced sales professional to work for a national trailer provider across Scotland & the Northern English borders. The ideal candidate will have a background in material handling, commercial vehicles or other capital equipment and have solid hire understanding. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional seeking to develop their career. Responsibilities · Managing an existing client base across Ireland · Business development across the same region · Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for trailer sales and hire · Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the hire and sale of trailers and related equipment · Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth Requirements You will ideally have worked in a sales role within either commercial vehicles to include truck & trailer or van, the material handling sector or another hire industry with a strong understanding of putting together lease or rental deals. Experience from another sales background may be considered provided that there is strong evidence of a strong sales record. You will be proactive in your approach and have both strong account management skills and the ability the develop new business.
