Job Description

In a nutshell As an IT Solutions and Group Service Centre (GSC) Director, you will be leading both the Group Services Centre for Ireland and Global IT Programs. As a Group Service Centre Director (GSC), you will manage the Ireland office in an operations capacity for HR, administration and finance teams; while working closely with Eurofins Group leadership.  As an IT Solutions Director, you will be leading critical IT Tools Programs (serving more than 1,500 customers) by providing IT Tools and Standards for our in-house Product Development & Product Delivery across Eurofins (Ireland and other global locations). Where will you be based and what business will you support? Based in Dublin, you will lead our Ireland GSC Office; our Application Development Lifecycle Management, and Application Monitoring and Observability Programs.  How can you help us?  You will:
  • Lead global IT programs with responsibility for all program management aspects including budget and controlling, people and performance management, IT strategy and planning;
  • Collaborate closely with other IT programs and teams, to implement new projects, IT initiatives and drive continuous improvement of the IT organisation;
  • Manage the local operations of the GSC Ireland office, working closely with HR, administration and finance teams, to ensure an efficient and well managed local entity;
  • Prepare global decisions on the roadmap of our IT Tools for Application Development, Monitoring, Observability etc; 
  • Be responsible for local talent strategies and employee engagement, promotion of employee focused initiatives and leading company events; 
  • Be responsible for budget preparation, forecasting, resource planning and cost controlling for IT programs and GSC office; 
  • Manage third party vendors, contracts and licenses for group solutions;
  • Work with GSC Controlling and national finance teams to manage P&L and financial operations for GSC Ireland; 
  • Be accountable as a Business Unit (BU) Manager, including resources, cost management and reporting; 
  • Be responsible for annual review process and general performance management of employees in program/BU scope.

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary? You have:
  • A Master degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or related field; 
  • 15+ years experience in IT or related fields, with 10+ years in a senior management or leadership role; 
  • Experience with budget preparation, forecasting and P&L management; 
  • Working experience with Application Lifecycle Management Tools, like Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, JFrog Artifactory; 
  • Working experience with monitoring & observability tools like ELK stack (Elasticsarch, Logtash, Kibana), AppDynamics, Grafana or similar;
  • Strong IT management experience, ideally from a large IT organisation serving internal business customers; 
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills;
  • Experience managing large multi-discipline teams across multiple remote locations;
  • Background in or strong working knowledge of software development processes, tools and methodologies; 
  • Working knowledge of custom application development, cloud technologies and automation.
What else should I know?  The following skills are an advantage:
  • Post-graduate qualification or advanced

    qualifications

    in IT leadership or project management;
  • Software engineering or development experience in previous roles;
  • Experience working in life sciences or Pharma industries;
