B1/B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer – King Air 200 FT Permanent (Days and Nights) Shannon, Ireland 2Excel Aviation Ltd is an industry leader in specialised and innovative solutions for aviation’s most complex challenges and our success is based on the talented and experienced people that make up our workforce. Our Special Missions division delivers specialist aviation services to Government and industry customers. In late 2024 we will start delivering a Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue (SAR) service, which will operate 24/7/365 out of Shannon Airport, Ireland, on behalf of the Irish Coast Guard. We are looking for B1/B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our growing team to help us deliver this new and exciting contract by providing line maintenance support on our fleet, as well as supporting the general day to day upkeep of the Maintenance Organisation, such as supporting cleanliness, tidiness and the upkeep of Maintenance facilities and equipment. The role’s key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting with Line Maintenance through ongoing repairs or rectification of the current fleet of aircraft (mainly King Air 200).
- Support the team tasks to ensure overall Maintenance Organisation functions.
- Removal or installation of components as required.
- Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform and document work completed as per appropriate manuals and regulations.
- Attend to additional company aircraft types as and when required.
- An unrestricted EASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 License is essential.
- A King Air series type rating (preferably King Air 200) would be ideal, however type training can be provided.
- Demonstrable recent experience on King Air series aircraft is highly desirable or a willingness to work temporarily at one of our UK bases to gain experience ahead of the go live date.
- Have Stores knowledge, preferably with experience of working within a bonded store and tool store.
- Knowledge of Part 145 SMS is desirable.
- Own a basic set of tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools.
- Flexible and capable of traveling to work at other sites to support operational demands.
- Good communicator with a polite and courteous manner.
- IT literate, preferably with experience of MRO software systems
- Able to work as a team.
- Able to work under pressure within deadlines.
- Experience of working in a remote Line Station environment, with a dedicated small team of engineers is highly desirable.
- Current Human Factors Training and EWIS/SFAR 88 is desirable, but training can be provided.
