What you'll do: As an Assistant Relationship Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial Banking Division's Business units. Your main responsibility will be assisting with the renewal process for existing accounts, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will also be responsible for conducting initial assessments of account complexities, responding promptly to customer requests, and attending to queries from various stakeholders during the account approval process. Additionally, you will assist in gathering information and preparing dashboards, ensuring that periodic reviews are conducted within set deadlines. Your role will also involve providing sales support, conducting relevant searches related to current accounts or transactions, and acting as the primary escalation point for clients.
  • Provide support to the Relationship Manager/Business Development Manager through timely and accurate processing of renewal for existing accounts.
  • Conduct first line of assessment to determine complexity of accounts.
  • Respond to customer requests within the Service Level Agreement (SLA), providing basic advice and service regarding account renewal.
  • Attend to queries from Relationship Managers, Business Development Managers, team heads and Credit approvers during the account approval process.
  • Assist in collation of information & supporting documents and preparation of Dashboard.
  • Ensure periodic reviews are done within due dates.
  • Provide sales support to ensure delivery of Quality & Proactive Services to clients.
  • Conduct relevant searches in relation to current accounts / transactions.
  • Act as primary escalation & accountability point for clients.
What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Assistant Relationship Manager position will bring a good understanding of financial statements along with a flair for writing. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills. A general knowledge of banking products will be beneficial in this role. The successful candidate will be fast, meticulous, and analytical in nature, with experience in a front office role. Preferably, you will have spent 3 to 5 years as a Relationship Manager or Business Development Manager.
  • Good understanding of financial statements is essential.
  • Flair in writing is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • General knowledge of banking products is beneficial.
  • Fast, meticulous and analytic nature is preferred.
  • Experience in front office role. Preferably 3 to 5 years as Relationship Manager/Business Development Manager.
