Work for a leading Financial Services organization that are growing. The Head of IT Service Management will lead strategic IT application support, ensuring efficient service delivery, process maturity, and customer satisfaction, utilizing industry best practices and harmonious inter-operability. Responsibilities Strategic leader with hands on ITIL experience. E.g. this person need to work with software engineering team to enable end to end monitoring and connect it with central command centre and handle proactive maintenance works. This role is not actually operating a support team but more of a "governance " role to set up standards and implement them across the group. Focus is application support rather than IT infrastructure. The role involves setting the strategic vision for IT service management for applications support (it will work with people who are already doing infra/sec operations.), representing the function at a senior level, and acting as an escalation point for business stakeholders. They lead the design and implementation of the ITSM framework, drive service transformation and operations, and lead a team in areas like service transformation, metrics, and reporting, fostering a collaborative culture. You will also support Technology Applications that sit in Middle office Departments eg. HR systems or Risk systems. Requirements The candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, relevant certifications (ITIL, PMP, ISO, COBIT, experience in IT service management for IT applications rather than IT Infrastructure (transition, continuous service improvement, and operations) able to set good SLA standards and monitor them, strong leadership and communication skills, analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and passion for excellence in IT service delivery. A Strategic leader with hands on ITIL experience. E.g. this person need to work with software engineering team to enable end to end monitoring and connect it with central command centre and handle proactive maintenance works. The candidate should have expertise in ITSM tools like ServiceNow, RemedyForce, and Jira, as well as proficiency in MS Office tools and MS PowerBI. Any experience in middle office IT Technology functions would be ideal but not necessary.
